Solutions: Reverse Engineering Discontinued AR Pump Seals for a European Client
A prominent European distributor of agricultural and industrial cleaning equipment faced a major supply chain crisis. A specific series of Annovi Reverberi (AR) high-pressure pumps had been discontinued by the original manufacturer, making the replacement AR Pump Seal Kits completely unavailable in the market. The distributor had hundreds of end-users demanding maintenance parts, but no technical drawings existed. The client shipped a used, slightly degraded sample of the original seal kit to the TRS Seals facility. Utilizing our advanced OEM/ODM service protocol, our R&D team performed high-precision laser scanning and material spectrum analysis to reverse-engineer the exact profile and rubber compound of the original U Type Water Seals and Washer Seals. Within 72 hours, we created new 3D CAD blueprints and CNC-machined a custom mold. We optimized the material using a proprietary high-grade NBR compound to ensure even better durability than the original. From receiving the used sample to shipping the first batch of 2,000 newly manufactured AR Pump Seal Kits, the entire process took only 20 days. The seals fit the older pump housings perfectly, delivering zero-leak performance. The European client resolved their supply crisis and subsequently signed a long-term OEM manufacturing contract with TRS Seals.
